Writing Task 1: You should spend about 20 minutes on this task. You have recently started work in a new company. Write a letter to an English-speaking friend. In your letter, • explain why you changed jobs • describe your new job • tell him / her your other news

Dear Lucy I am sure you are very well. It has been a long time since we met you. The reason I am writing
this
letter is that I recently changed my
job
. Because my old
job
's office was so far from my house. And going to work was taking a lot of time. So I decided to change my
job
. My new
job
is very good. And my new work is very near my house. I like my new
job
and office. Because the office very comfortable and the
job
isn't hard. My new boss is
also
friendly and my wage is so high. I have a lot of news to share with you.
For example
: A couple of weeks ago.I finished the driving course with high grades and got my driver's license.
Then
my dad brought me a car . Best wishes , Diyora

Use a variety of complex and simple sentences

You should use complex sentences in your writing, but it does not mean that you should try to make all of our sentences complex.

‘Complex’ sentences are not actually very complex; they are just two or more simple sentences put together. Putting them together makes the essay more coherent and cohesive.

Examples:

I really want to study but I’m too tired.

I wore a warm coat because the weather was cold.

If action is not taken soon on climate change, global warming will get worse.
