The following table presents information about the manufacture of four different grains, measured in million metric tons, between 2010 and 2015, alongside predictions up until the year 2030.
Overall
, we can see that barely had the most significant rise in the years measured, and
also
had the highest projections going forward.
In contrast
, wheat had a very gradual rise over the same time frame,
while
maize and rice remained relatively stable, with the latter fluctuating very slightly. When looking at barely and wheat specifically, we can visualise from the data a 20 and 5 million metric ton jump respectively, from 2010 to 2015.
Furthermore
, it is anticipated that barely will climb a
further
30 units measured in the next 15 years,
whereas
wheat is only expected to increase by an additional 5.
On the other hand
, maize and rice production don't seem to change much at all. By 2030 both are expected to have risen by approximately 1 million metric tons, since 2010.
