The line graph illustrates the comparison of four different materials that were recycled between 1982 to 2010. The aluminium cans and plastics recycling rates show a steady rise over the years,
while
the percentage of paper and glass containers experience a fluctuating trend. Compared to 1986 the aluminium cans recycling
rate
rose significantly more than 40% in 2010. In the meantime, the percentage of plastic recycling that started in 1990 only experienced less than 10% growth in 2010. Both aluminium cans and plastics trend always increase throughout the years. Between 1982 and 1990 glass container recycling rates underwent a 10% drop, but starting from 1990 the rates started to gradually increase until 2010 and the end percentage of glass container
rate
is 60%. The paper recycling interest shows a fluctuation
rate
from 1982 to 1994,
then
in the next year the trends start to steadily drop until 2010, the drop in paper recycling
rate
is exactly 10%.
