The diagram illustrates the life process of the Monarch butterfly.
Overall
,
this
is a cyclical process with four different stages that provide information about
this
species and its special way. The egg stage begins with them laying on a milkweed. It lasts about 14 days and the following period is Larval.
This
new step is linked with the development of the embryo and contains things like hatching, transformation in the caterpillar and
finally
, the connection of the larva to the plant. The next 10 days there is a process, described as chrysalis where the little bug is safely changing and becoming step by step grown up. After ,that the whole new adult breaks its cover and becomes a free individual who is predicted to travel south in order to migrate.
This
is called the Pupal stage and lasts approximately 6 months. The final stage is the Adult one, where those creatures are moving north trying to find a partner and mate for a new generation. Again,
this
is followed by the Egg phase and so the cycle begins again.
