The bar graph illustrates the gradual growth of the US elder

divided into three different age ranges between 1900 and 2000. The general trend among all the group ages increases gradually and with a significant majority of the population
aged 65 and 75 years old.
The main feature to look at is that people of all ages increases gradually starting in 1900 with 4% of the population
and peaking at more than 12% in 1990. It is clear that
a big part of the community is aged between 65 and 75 years old, almost double the other two ranges together. All the population
in the 75-84 range are the second majority on the chart compared to 1900 data, they doubled the numbers during 1990 and 2000. The minority of the population
is the ones aged more than 85, however
they increased significantly between 1970 and 2000.
