During a recent plane journey, you sat next to a businessman who owns a chain of restaurants. You talked to him and he suggested that you should contact him about a possible job in one of his restaurants. Write a letter to this businessman. In your letter -Remind him when and where you met -Tell him what kind of job you are interested in -Say why you think you would be suitable for the job

Dear Mr. Kim, I am writing to seek a job opportunity at your restaurant in the Kingston branch. I am Maria Do, the woman who sat next to you on the flight from Vancouver to Ottawa on Monday
last
week. Through the conversation, I knew you are the owner of a fast food chain. I live in Kingston, so I wonder whether there is a vacancy in
this
branch. I particularly like doing cashier jobs because I like meeting with customers from different backgrounds, and
this
is the way I can practice my English as I am a new immigrant here. During the
last
year, I have worked as a cashier and at the same time a kitchen assistant in a food store.
Therefore
, I understand how a food store is run. The reason why I am leaving
this
mini supermarket is that I am desirous of gaining more experience. I assess myself to be diligent, studious and meticulous as at the time I worked with cash in the store, I have never made mistakes on transactions. I enclose my resume for your convenience and look forward to receiving your response. Yours sincerely, Maria Do
