the remarkable development of transportation has created a golden chance for
food
to be imported from every corner of the world to consumers, it is at times considered that locally produced
food
is more beneficial in terms of environmental friendliness and
economy
. In

. First of all, when local
food
becomes buyers' preference, farmers obtain more opportunities to market and sell their products. Within a community, the consumption of
food
produced by its inhabitants can encourage more production to meet the locals' demands.
Secondly
, if the dwellers solely purchased what was produced in their area,
food
would not have to be delivered a distance to reach its customers, which means less and less transport would be required.
Therefore
, a significant loss of fumes and smokes from vehicles could be expected.
On the other hand
, the consumption of local
food

economy
from striking on a national scale. In fact, when
food

also
make a big profit from the export of their products. If those nations stop their export of
food
, it will bring disastrous effects of the domestic recession.
For example
, Vietnam is well-known for its high-quality
coffee
beans which have been imported by many other countries around the world, namely the USA, China and France. If one day, Vietnam's
coffee
was consumed by Vietnamese people only,
this
could have disastrous effects on Vietnamese farmers. Of the limitation of the population, the amount of
coffee
drunk by Vietnamese dwellers only was
also
limited, which means the farmers were not able to sell as much
coffee
as they do now when they are exporting their work to many parts of the world.
As a consequence
, they would earn less profit and probably, some plantations had to axe their employees for the shortage of income. In conclusion, it is environmentally and economically good to consume local
food
.
However
,
such
a trend can negatively affect the
economy
as well.
