✨ Do you want to improve your IELTS writing?
Dear Sir, I recently made a reservation at your hotel for a business trip with my colleagues. I booked four single bedrooms for the 25th to the 29th of March
along with
a presentation room.
However
, now we are planning to bring our families and kids as well.
Hence
, I am writing
this
letter to kindly request to change my single bedroom rooms to double bedrooms, since we are four in each family and we would require more space. Apart from that, we are
also
planning a discussion event on the 29th evening, and I need some equipment
such
as a presentation screen, a projector and a microphone.
In addition
, we would
also
plan to provide our guests with some snacks during the event. That being said, I would need your assistance in setting these arrangements for my meeting. Please kindly help us with these facilities, and if you may have any questions, please do write back to me and I will gladly assist you. Yours faithfully, Hemalatha Palanivelu.

Structure your letter

A letter needs to be written using a proper format, including the following:

  • A greeting (Dear sir/madam, Dear John, Dear Mr. Smith)
  • The main body (consisting of paragraphs for each part of the letter)
  • A closing (Yours sincerely, Yours faithfully, Best wishes, Kind regards, Love)

When writing a letter as part of the IELTS General Training Writing Task 1, it is important to include the bullet points presented to you in the question.

All three bullet points need to be presented. And remember that some bullet points contain more than one element. So, make sure to watch for ‘and’ and plurals.
