The diagram below shows the life cycle of a salmon, from egg to adult fish.
The purpose of
this
report is to provide data pertaining to the cycle of life of a salmon. The primary thrust of this
diagram is that the process is a fairly straightforward one, which commences with spawning eggs and culminates with adult salmons
travelling from oceans to rivers. Overall
, it can be seen that salmons
go through eight stages in their lives and live in three different areas.
The initial phase takes place in rivers. The cycle commences with adult fish releasing eggs and incubating them. Following that step, small salmons
emerge and are reared in freshwater. The ensuing stage involves relocating to the estuary, where this
species is continued to be reared for a set amount of time before heading to the oceans.
Maturing and having offsprings are the focus of the latter steps in the sequence. Once the migration to rearing areas in seawater has been completed, the fish will grow to adulthood. Finally
, the fully-grown salmons
swim back to rivers to reproduce. Thus
, the whole cycle repeats again with a new batch of fish.Submitted by Hoang Duc
