Many animal species are becoming extinct as a result off human activities . What are the causes and possible solutions to this problem?
Nowadays, a number of different creatures are becoming extinct because of human intervention which is heavily affecting our environment. Human activities
such
as hunting and agriculture have contributed negatively to the habitat of many animals
. In this
essay, I am going to explain how these activities have affected our animals
and suggest some solutions .
The two major problems which lead to the disappearance of some animals
are hunting and agriculture . First of all, for an individual to grow crops , he or she should start by clearing land , therefore
destroying vegetation including trees and grass to name a few . As a result
of this
action, food for animals
may become scarce and some die because of hunger . Apart from food shortages, some animals
are being killed for meat mostly by local farmers. Another threat to animals
is uncontrolled hunting by local inhabitants within a community, and If there is no regulation to this
, most of the creatures may become extinct in a short period of time. Indeed human activities have accelerated the extinction of many animals
.
However
, there are solutions which can be put in place to mitigate these problems. For instance
, governments and policymakers should restrict deforestation and put tough laws in order to punish those who broke it . Since tight and heavy punishment are tools used to refrain people to obey civic laws, they will definitely be able also
to reduce the vanishing of animals
. Hunting licences should be given to those willing to participate in it as well putting animals
in Zoos will automatically save the endangered species.
In conclusion, growing crops and killing animals
for meat are the main causes of the extinction of many animal species . These can be solved by introducing tight laws and issuing hunting licences and also
keeping animals
in captivity.Submitted by nnyatanga12 on
