Food travels thousands of miles from producers to consumers. Some people think that it would be better for the environment and economy if people only ate the local food produced by farmers. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

 production industry has significantly gained popularity these days
due to
 the increasing demand for exotic
food
 items. It is opinionated that citizens should only consume the
food
 which is produced and available in their locality as it would be better for a healthy environment and a good economy. I disagree with
this
 idea as I believe that people should utilize
food
 from all over the
world
. I will state my reasons in the paragraph below.
Food
 from different
parts
 of the
world
 contains various health benefits. There is a variety of consummatory products that are produced in certain
parts
 of the
world
. One cannot produce a variety of
food
 items in their local area as many factors are considered like the place, season, public demand and so on.
For example
, whenever I visit a doctor for my health checkup, she suggests I eat fruits
such
 as apple which has plenty of nutrients and provides health benefits.
However
, apples are not available in my location because the production is mainly held in the northern part of the
country
. Moving on,
food
 from vivid
parts
 of the
world
 holds culture and helps you to stay connected with other communities as well. It shows the exchange of traditions between two nations. It benefits the
country
's economy as well, by shipping
food
 items which are exotically produced only in my
country
.
For example
, the production of Alphonso mangoes is only seen in my
country
.
Lastly
, it can be retrieved that people can consume
food
 which is travelled thousands of miles from different
parts
 of the
world
.
