Dear Mr John, I am writing to apologise for the loud noise that you heard from my flat. My name is Johnny and I am your new neighbor who has come to stay. I am 22 years old and I celebrated my birthday
this
week in which many people were involved.
Moreover
, the party was full of excitement and I didn't notice the noise was too loud that could disturb my neighbour. I celebrated my birthday after 5 years because I stayed outside for my studies for 5 years and because of
this
I got

. Once again apologies for the inconvenience caused by me. Next time
this
won't happen. I hope you understand my problem and I will organise a party in a private hall. Yours faithfully, Johnny

Word Count

IELTS says that you should write a minimum of 150 words in writing task 1. If you go under word count you will lose marks in task response.

A very long letter will not give you a higher band score.

Aim for between 160 to 190 words in writing task 1. This will ensure a concise letter and will be realistic in terms of time management. You have only 20 minutes to write the letter and you need around 5 minutes of planning time, so you will not be able to write a long letter in 15 minutes.
