Nowadays many people complain that they have difficulties getting enough sleep. What problems can lack of sleep cause? What can be done about lack of sleep?

Sleep disorders have increased over the
last
few years and more
people
from all around the world try different ways to tackle
this
issue.
This
essay will explore the possible issues that
this
phenomenon might create and the solutions to prevent not being able to sleep. Difficulty in sleeping has never been a severe problem affecting
people
’s quality of
life
until recently. Not having a good night's sleep can create a number of problems.
Firstly
, when humans don’t get enough sleep, the immune system deteriorates leading to diseases.
Secondly
,
people
need to sleep well to be able to rest and concentrate on their work. When
this
is not the case, it might result in consistent low-performance reviews and eventually their employment being terminated.
Lastly
, it would lead to deadly accidents occurring more than usual. There are various solutions to be done to prevent difficulties in sleeping. But
first,
the reasons for
this
phenomenon need to be analyzed. One common reason is the technological devices that are now a major part of contemporary
life
. Humans spend more than 10 hours per day in front of a computer or a smartphone
screen
. The
screen
light of these devices blocks the sleep hormones to be released. Spending less time in front of a
screen
would have a positive effect on the sleep cycle. Another major reason is pursuing a sedentary lifestyle.
According to
2020 research by the University of Toronto, specifically after Covid-19, fewer
people
are eager to work out. The trend of working from home has contributed to it as well. Having a more active
life
by joining a gym, walking or riding a bike to commute
instead
of taking public transit or driving would result in being physically tired. Working out is proven to be an effective tool to sleep well than taking melatonin pills.
As a result
of being physically active, the need and amount of time to sleep would improve. In conclusion, sleep disorder is one of the common problems of the modern world and it can have negative impacts on daily
life
such
as losing concentration, being more distracted and getting sick quite often. Pursuing an active lifestyle and setting limits on
screen
time would benefit
people
struggling to have a good amount of sleep.

Support ideas with relevant, specific examples

Examples make your writing easier to understand by illustrating points more effectively.

Examples, if used properly, not only help you get higher marks for ‘Task Response’ but also for ‘Coherence’.

When giving examples it is best to put them after your main idea or topic sentence. They can be used in the middle of supporting sentences or they can be used to start a new sentence. There is no rule for where exactly to give examples in essays, logically they would come after your main idea/topic sentence or just after a supporting sentence.
