The company you work has decided to close the cafeteria, as the staff is not using it much. You are not happy with the decision. Write a letter to the director Give reason of low usage How will it affect the staff Suggest ways to improve it
Dear sir,
My self Navjot Kaur, I work as an environmental technician in your company. I am writing
this
letter regarding the decision of closing the cafeteria.
Today, I read a notice that the company canteen is going to close from next month due to
less usage. The prominent cause of low usage is limited options. As we have a mixed ratio of vegetarian, non-vegetarian and vegan employees. However
, our menu is mainly focused on non-vegetarian options, therefore
vegan and vegetarian people prefer to go out to get their desired meals. Moreover
, the food service of canteen staff is also
not very satisfactory. The employees have to wait for at least 15-20 minutes even for a single item.
Even though most of the staff members prefer to go out for a meal. But closing the eatery will have a strong impact on employees as the company eatery is their favourite place for a tea break.
Therefore
, rather than shutting down the canteen, I believe management might work on improving serving time and can add more menu items.
I hope these things will have a great impact on the usage of the cafeteria.
Your faithful
