These pictures illustrate the process of making tomato ketchup.

Overall

, there are 15 stages in the diagram, from harvesting tomatoes to eating.

The first step is

that tomatoes are picked from the bush and put in a basket, and

then

they are sorted into two parts, good and bad ones.

Subsequently

, tomatoes are sent to the factory in order to remove their skin, stalk and seeds. After that, they are put into a container and crushed.

The next step is

to add several spices,

such

as sugar, salt and vinegar, and

then

the lid of the container is closed and put on the gas. After that, the container is left for two hours till the ketchup is ready to pour into the bottle. After all, the ready ketchup bottle is sent to labelling and checked out for quality by the control of humans. The

last

step is that it is packed into a box in order to send to the supermarket by truck. In the end, it is ready to consume with hamburgers and fries.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:
