the diagram below shows two different processes for manufacturing black tea
The figure illustrates two main steps in producing black
tea
, which is
traditional and modern. Correct subject-verb agreement
are
although
there are two different ways of processing the tea
, the rest steps are the same from picking up the tea
leaves to drying them up.
First of all, farmers need to pick only the bud and 2 top tea
leaves to create a tea
of good quality. All of these leaves are then
withered on a rack to make the air pass from the leaves. In this
,step 60 % moisture will be out from the leaves. Then
, tea
leaves will go on to two different methods, the traditional way of rolling the leaves (loose tea
) so that enzymes are released from the leaves or through modern techniques by cutting and then
tearing and curling in a bag. This
process is quicker than the traditional ones because it is creating small granular pieces.
The third step is oxidation or fermentation by spreading all the rolled leaves on cement to create a copper colour after releasing its enzymes and air before it is ready to be fired using an oven or hot air dryer which will remove 97% of the leaves' moisture. The last
step is adding flavour and aroma to the product.Submitted by Parayogi on
