It is evident that Central Asia
leads all six continents when it comes to agricultural irrigation by over 2/4 with 8%. This
is followed by Africa and South East Asia
with 84% and 81% respectively. In contrast

for industrial purposes with marginally half of the proportion at 5% this

succeeded by North America at just under half with 43%.
