The Graph Below Shows The Proportion Of Four Different Materials That Were Recycled From 1982 To 2010.
The graph illustrates the percentage of four items which were recycled in one country from 1982 to 2010.
Overall
, the main trend of
this
graph is an increase in items
such
as glass containers, aluminium cans and plastics.
In contrast
, paper and cardboard tend to go down. It can be concluded from the graph that the recycling
rate
of glass containers began at 50% in 1892.
However
, there was a slight decrease in 1990 at 40% and had a stable increase years later with the highest
rate
being 60% in 2010.
In addition
, both the items aluminium cans and plastics had an increase in the period from 1986 to 2010.
It is clear that
aluminium cans were the only item that had a significant rise from approximately 5% to nearly 45% from 1986 to 2010.
Besides
, plastics
also
had a rise in their
rate
but it was stable because of the slight rise in its data.
On the other hand
, there was a variation in paper and cardboard rates. The recycling
rate
of paper and cardboard rose from over 60% to 80%
then
declined to 70% in 2010.
