The pictures illustrate the changes that took place from 1990 to 2005 in a seaside
resort
called Templeton.
Overall
, the
resort
underwent a number of dramatic changes, the most important of which are the development of many residential buildings at the expense of green space and the appearance of a supermarket
as well as
a factory catering to the residents' needs. In the northwest, most of the trees were chopped down, and more apartments were erected in vacant spaces. In the southwest of the
resort
, a range of small houses was converted into high blocks, with a huge supermarket redeveloped and more buildings being modernized. In the northeast of Templeton, important amenities
such
as a school, hospital and parking area remained, but the
resort
witnessed significant changes of some small houses being rearranged. Meanwhile, the green space was converted into a brand-new airport, and the centre of the map had more open space. The south-eastern section
also
had a remarkable change, with a large area of trees and small buildings being transformed into a factory, and a port with ferries catering for transporting was constructed along the sea in 2005.
