Task 1: The charts below show the average percentages in typical meals of three types of nutrients, all of which may be unhealthy if eaten too much. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant. Write at least 150 words.
The Pie charts display the proportion amount of
Sodium
, Saturated fats and added sugars in usual meals in the USA.
Overall
, a large portion of dinner contains Sodium
and saturated fats whereas
added sugar
is more in snacks. However
, during the other meals, the rest of the nutrients
are approximately similar to each other.
As the meals continue some of the nutrients
also
subsequently
start to surge in quantity. In Breakfast, the three types of nutrients
are in almost similar quantity which is from 14% to 16%. While
in Lunch, the nutrients
could be seen to rise rapidly to more than 25% to 30% except

sugar
which only increased by 3%. The major hike which can be seen is on the snack meal which relatively consumes more than 40% Sugar
, but these percentages are less in Sodium
and Saturated fat which is half of what sugar
is added in snacks.
During the dinner meal, the percentages rapidly jumped to 43% and 37% of Sodium
and Saturated fat respectively. This
dramatic growth was not seen in the Added sugar
dinner meal which was evidently less than 25%.Submitted by Melroy on
