You have borrowed something from your friend and it got damaged. Write a letter to your friend. apologise for the damage to the item explain what happened say how you are going to fix the issue

Dear Tomi, I feel disappointed about the vandalism on the black phone charger I collected from you.
This
is a result of where I plugged my phone, where it was mishandled by a friend's girl-child. I went to the mall to get a few things for the house when the charger got impaired. I was told that my neighbour who
also
doubles as my friend brought along her daughter to our inn. Unfortunately,
this
female child went into the room where I was charging the phone and viola the disc tip had broken before anyone got there. I plan to give the disk to an engineer that will help check and fix it if possible and if not possible a new disc will be ordered to replace the damaged one. I felt really sad about
this
misfortune. Please find a place in your heart to forgive me. Warm regards, Bunmi
