Some university students want to learn about other subjects in addition to their main subjects. Others believe it is more important to give all their time and attention to studying for a qualification. Discuss both these views and give your opinion.

People have a myriad of views on whether young individuals should purpose on getting graduate certificates or learning a variety of knowledge in their tertiary education.
Although
someone may hold the view that they might concentrate on studying their mainstream
subjects
, I personal;y believe that it is better to learn various
subjects
, which is enhancing their personal growth in the future. Of the reasons why someone thinks that the young generation need to pay more attention to their majors rather than other
subjects
, probably the most significant reason is that people who are graduated are usually enjoying better earning and higher prestigious social status, so they need to spend more
time
on their own
subjects
in order to get a pass. Many profession-related
subjects
, including doctors, nurses, scientists and IT specialists, include a variety of professional knowledge and typical techniques
as well as
an internship. Meanwhile, there are many projects, exams and reports required in their studies. If they don't want to fail to be graduated, they must devote more
time
and effort to their own
subjects
. In
this
way, to enjoy a better quality of
life
, youngsters need to scarify their
time
in learning other
subjects
. Despite the above benefits, I still believe that studying the
subjects
which they like is of paramount importance than abstracting certificates. Being studied various
subjects
,
such
as Philosophy, Arts and History, can build up your logical skill, aesthetic skills and understand more about your home country. These skills can help students to have all-rounded development, which is crucial for their personal growth. To get a successful and fascinating
life
, we should not focus on earning money but
also
strive to good physical health and better social
life
. If students excessively emphasise the importance of the certificates, they will suffer from tremendous pressure, be deprived of
time
for social interactions and endless to become soulless exam machines.
Therefore
, young adults should study more
subjects
for growth all-rounded in the future. Under
this
line of thinking,
although
only concentrating on the major subject may help young adults to get past their tertiary education, we should never forget how the importance of gaining moral values, logical thinking and a sense of beauty, which are the knowledge and skills utilised in their whole
life
.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
