Some people like to try new things, for example, places to visit and types of food. Other people prefer to keep doing the things they are familiar with. Discuss both these attitudes and give your own opinion

Trying new activities
such
as visiting some destinations or new recipes are preferred by some
people
,
although
familiar activities are repeated over and over by others. I firmly believe that we should be more open towards the latest features around us,
while
not being careful.
To begin
with, keeping doing known
things
is a common feature in human nature. There are a couple of reasons for
this
matter: the fear of taking risks and a personal mindset. More broadly, it is not tough to see
people
who have been working in the same job for the same company for decades. Taking risks or conducting experiments in both their professional and social lives are to be
way

challenging for them. They
therefore
do not force themselves to try new
things
at all.
However
, it is not a bad idea because stable earnings and job security are guaranteed.
Secondly
, being more creative or risk-taking cannot be found in
people
's outlook. From the early childhood, they were raised up in the same mindset.
This
is not guilt, of course, since each person can choose their own lifestyle.
On the other hand
, experimenting with
things
is to give more colours in
life
. Those
people
who are eager to give a new activity a try have more chances to feel various feelings in their lives. They are
also
more open-minded and have a high level of creativity and less tension. To illustrate, trying new recipes at home makes them happy even if
this
new dish will not be as tasty as expected. Because of their high self-confidence, they will succeed in
life
much faster and climb the career ladder.
Furthermore
,
while
trying new
things
people
can get once in a lifetime valuable experience. Personally, I am familiar with several
people
who run their businesses in a completely different field after their 40s. Now they are role models for many youngsters in terms of taking risks and smashing numerous challenges. These kinds of
life
examples are easily found in many parts of the world and always motivate
people
to be more brave and think creatively. In conclusion,
although
putting priorities on the familiar
things
in
life
may give stable safety and comfort, I would argue that we should prepare ourselves to try new habits, activities, and so forth. In turn,
this
provides us with getting full pleasure of
life
.

Support ideas with relevant, specific examples

Examples make your writing easier to understand by illustrating points more effectively.

Examples, if used properly, not only help you get higher marks for ‘Task Response’ but also for ‘Coherence’.

When giving examples it is best to put them after your main idea or topic sentence. They can be used in the middle of supporting sentences or they can be used to start a new sentence. There is no rule for where exactly to give examples in essays, logically they would come after your main idea/topic sentence or just after a supporting sentence.

Linking words for giving examples:

  • for instance
  • to illustrate this
  • to give a clear example
