The diagram below shows the process for recycling plastic bottles. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The flowchart illustrates the procedure of how
plastic
bottles
are recycled. Overall
, there are nine phases in the recycling of plastic
bottles
, from dumping used bottles
into the trash bin to producing new products.
As is shown in the graph, the first step is
to place the plastic
garbage in the dustbin for recyclable waste. Afterwards, the plastic
bottles
are packed and then
delivered by trucks to the recycling centre. After being sent to the centre, these bottles
are sorted by hand into two categories: the recyclable ones and the non-recyclable ones.
In the following stage, these recyclable bottles
are compressed tightly into blocks. Next,
the blocks are put into a grinder which crushes them into smaller pieces, and then
the crushed bottles
are washed in clean water. The sixth step is to put the pieces of plastic
into a machine in order to turn them into pellets. Once the plastic
pellets are made, they are heated to create raw material, which is then
stacked on the shelves. Finally
, the raw material is used to produce end products, such
as plastic
bottles
, clothes, containers and pencils.Submitted by hedoyeraisy on
