, the usage of phones, computers and the Internet grew significantly over the entire time period. The washing machine and DVD player had a moderate increase.
The most popular device during the period was the washing machine, which surged in those years from 60% to 80%. The second most fashionable machine in 1995 was the computer with 40% of households in the U.S. using it, rising to 70% in 1999.
The phone had an obvious increase, where at the beginning it was the second least used with just around 18% of families using it, finalising in 1999 with around 75%, becoming the second most used technology. While
