The representation illustrates two maps of a village called Stokeford, and how the small town has changed in its arrangement from 1930 to 2010. During the past century, the town has developed around the
River
Stroke. In 1930 along the
river
bed there was farmland, and
also
some shops, a few houses and the Post office going
further
north.
Moreover
, east of the farmland a street divides the riverside from the gardens where we can find a large house.
Furthermore
, on the top of the gardens, in front of the street is located a primary school, which is now well-built.
Whereas
, in 2010 the farmland near the
river
was replaced by a group of houses dislocated along the street which is now enlarged. Yet, in the south part of the graph, the gardens and the large house are now displaced and the retirement home has taken their space.
Lastly
, the bridge which crosses the
river
on top of the figure is still there,
while
the shops near the post office are at
