The chart below shows the percentage of households inn owned and rented accomodation in England and Wales between 1918 and 2011
The below chart illustrates the percentage of families in rented and owned properties in England and Wales. The years are mentioned in the horizontal bar of the chart
while
the percentage is represented by the vertical bars. In 1918, the number of households in rented places to live was much higher than their own accommodations. Individuals from both states spend a lot in paying the rent. In 1971, the number of folks became equal to the people who owned property.
However
, It is clearly seen that the percentage of the folks who owned property got higher right after the year 1971. From the year 1918 till 2011 the count of household owners increased.
On the other hand
, the count decreased. In 1918, the rate of rented land was around 80% and the rate of owning land was above 20%. It is clearly, seen that the ratio of the rented plot decreased by around 10 per cent from time to time.
However
, the poll of the own house increased by 10%. 1971, was the moment when the ratio of both living places same at 50%.
This
was the turning point
after
this
era, the total of the owned plots was greater than the rented ones till the year 2011, the total of owned houses was slightly above 60% and on the other side, the proportion was nearly 40%. Generally, both the properties i.e., rented and owned households have risen and dropped dramatically through the years.
