Nowadays, a growing number of people with health problems are trying alternative medicines and treatments instead of visiting their usual doctor. Do you think this is a positive or negative development?

In today's world, more and more people with health issues are choosing
alternative
medicines and
treatments
instead
of visiting their conventional doctor. From my perspective,
this
trend has a negative side, primarily
due to
concerns about the certification and safety of
such
alternative
providers. First and foremost, many of these
alternative
practices operate without certification from recognized health organizations.
This
raises significant concerns about the legitimacy of these healthcare providers and the potential risks for patients.
For instance
, individuals who choose to visit these "
alternative
" clinics in search of remedies for their health issues may unwittingly expose themselves to unforeseeable side effects. Consider herbal medicines, which often rely on informal recommendations, market themselves as "Elixir", and appeal to modernized consumers who may not be aware of the ingredients used in the formulations. Since there are not always clear directions, there can sometimes be scenarios involving poisoning or overdose. The same is true for
alternative
treatments
; let's say Chiropractic Care. With
this
approach, there is no detailed diagnosis as well.
As a result
, it can pose a threat of incidents involving patients' bones and bodies at large.
Moreover
, these
alternative
approaches are unsuitable for managing emergency medical conditions. Relying on
alternative
methods, like traditional herbal recipes or non-diagnostic
treatments
, can seriously threaten a patient's chances of survival. Consider a scenario where someone experiences the symptoms of a heart attack. In
this
life-threatening situation, time is of the essence, and immediate surgical intervention is vital.
However
, choosing
alternative
methods like consuming herbal remedies or non-diagnostic
treatments
could significantly threaten his or her life. The delay in receiving proper medical care in
this
case could be fatal. In conclusion, I firmly believe that the growing reliance on
alternative
medicines and
treatments
is a negative trend. The lack of regulation and certification for these practices raises concerns about patient safety and treatment efficacy, particularly in emergency situations.

Use a variety of complex and simple sentences

You should use complex sentences in your writing, but it does not mean that you should try to make all of our sentences complex.

‘Complex’ sentences are not actually very complex; they are just two or more simple sentences put together. Putting them together makes the essay more coherent and cohesive.

Examples:

I really want to study but I’m too tired.

I wore a warm coat because the weather was cold.

If action is not taken soon on climate change, global warming will get worse.
