,it is immediately noticeable that a great number of young women aged 16 to 30 spend their time online and accounted for 53 , 45 and 44 per cent in 1998, 1999 and 2000 respectively. The internet was also
popular among the 31 to 50-year-old generation, the proportion of female screen users made up nearly one-fourth during the 3-year period.
Secondly
, children aged less than 15 years old use the internet only a tiny portion, and this
indicator goes up slowly every year. In 1999 the percentage of the youngest and older generation was equal to 8 per cent and was almost the same in 1998 and 2000.
Looking from an overall
perspective,it is clear that
