, the majority of imprisonment was recorded in the United States while
the second highest country Canada experienced a downward trend throughout the years in contrast
Great Britain experienced an upward trend in the given period. However
, all the countries showed some fluctuations as well.
To begin
, at the beginning of the period Canada was in the lead of imprisonment at around 120 while
Britain recorded a lower amount of about 30 but it steadily increased to more than 80 at the end
of the period. Meanwhile, Canada clearly showed a decrement in prisoners in the year 1980 it is less than 100 but still outraced Britain.
On the other hand
, the USA recorded prisoners about 100 at the beginning but it rose by 30 in 1940 and there was a drop in 1950 to about 20 while
it again experienced a slight increment in 1960 approximately 10 and again decreased to just below 100 in 1970 but rapidly increased to almost 140 at the end
of the year. Although
, other countries such
