The chart illustrates four particular materials percentages in one country that were recycled between 1982 and 2010.
Firstly
, in 1982, starting with 60% of paper and cardboard was recycled.
This
figure experienced a fluctuation before gradually rising to reach a peak of 80% in 1994. From
then
on, the portion was slowly decreasing to 70% in 2010. Meanwhile, glass containers started with half of the percentage in 1982
then
gradually declined to 40% in 1990. After that, there was a gradual rise in the portion to 60% by 2010. Aluminium cans started to be recycled in 1986, which was about 5%, but
this
amount rose rapidly for over 25 years and by 2010 it had reached 45%.
On the other hand
, plastics recycling was first introduced in 1990,
then
slowly rising from 2% to around 8% over the period.
