The charts below show what UK graduate and postgraduate students who did not go full-time work did after leaving college in 2008.
The bar charts compare the
number
of post-graduates and graduates in the UK after graduation in 2008 who prefer to have part-time work, voluntary work, or be unemployed, and pursue further
study.
At first glance, it can be seen that the lowest proportion of students would like to go to voluntary jobs. Whereas
, they would rather continue their studies in order to achieve a higher degree.
In 2008, the number
of graduate students was totally greater than postgraduate students. What stands out is despite the wide number
of unemployed individuals, 16235, and 1625 respectively, the vast majority of the former and latter groups at about a little under 3000 and 2725 go for higher education.
After further
study, the second preference for both groups is a temporary job, with about 2500 postgraduates and just under 18000 graduates during this
period. It is obvious that just a minority proportion of the two groups tend to do voluntary jobs. The statistical information shows that the number
of graduates who work voluntarily is approximately ten times more than the other group.Submitted by kmibehnaz98 on
