The chart given illustrates the result of a survey in five different Australian cities about the resident's
coffee
and tea purchase and intake habits. Overall
, a general trend can be seen that cafes are the main option for people to buy their beverages and that a preference for instant
coffees over fresh ones is present.
Most people in all the cities purchase their drinks from a cafe. Melbourne with just under 65% is the one with the highest amount of folks buying from cafes with Hobart and Sydney being close seconds to Melbourne with just over 60%. Meanwhile, Adelaide is the lowest with just under 50%. In the middle of them, Brisbane lies with just over 55% of purchases from cafes.
For the people who purchased coffee
, all the places showed that most folks prefer to buy instant
coffee
rather than fresh ones. Brisbane is showing the most dramatic difference, with around 53% buying instant
coffee
and just under 35% of the residents buying fresh coffee
. Adelaide and Hobart show a similar trend with a huge difference, but not as big as the difference in Brisbane. In contrast
