The graph shows the number of fatal injuries (resulting in death) of workers in New Zealand between 1992 and 2010. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The graph reflects cases of death among employees in New Zealand in the period between 1992 and 2010. At first sight, it seems extremely high indicators, but we cannot compare them to other countries in the same years, so we can just analyze the change of numbers in New Zealand. First of all, the amount of injuries which caused death was not above 7,000 during the 19 years presented here. The highest point was in 1994 at 6,632 cases,
while
the minimum was in 2009 at 4 551.
Besides
, there exists a downward trend
due to
the development of technologies and safety techniques in production.
However
, these changes are not straight, there are certain fluctuations almost the whole time from 1992 to 2010, so injuries increased in periods 1992-1994, 1996-1997, 2002-2004, 2005-2006, and it reduced in other ones.
Secondly
, we have to notice that the full alternate between 1992 and 2010 was 1527, despite other measures in the middle of
this
period.
Therefore
, the average number of fatalities in work has decreased with age.
