The given bar chart compares the amount of two types of households in England and Wales over a

of approximately one century from 1918 to 2011.
Overall
it can clearly be seen that over the given

, the trends for each type show a contradicting change, where owned
accommodations
show an increasing trend
while
rented
accommodations
experienced a decrease in their percetages. The number of owned
accommodations
started at about 21% in 1918 which is the lowest
level
of its amount in the given

. From
this
year onwards, the number rose gradually and reached a peak in 2001 at just below 70%. The number
then
decreased slightly in the following ten years which is the end of the given

and accounted for about 65% in 2011.
On the contrary

started at their highest
