To improve your score, you should ensure that your letter has a more formal tone. This can be achieved by choosing more formal vocabulary and avoiding contractions. Additionally, check for spelling and grammatical errors to maintain a professional presentation.

Work on organizing your ideas more cohesively. Start by introducing yourself and explaining your situation in a structured manner. Each paragraph should address a separate point: your interest in computers, your circumstances, and your request for an exception. This will help the reader follow your argument more easily.
task response
Though you addressed the tasks required by the prompt, providing more detailed background information about your interest and experience in computers, even if informal, could strengthen your application and showcase your passion more effectively.

Word Count

IELTS says that you should write a minimum of 150 words in writing task 1. If you go under word count you will lose marks in task response.

A very long letter will not give you a higher band score.

Aim for between 160 to 190 words in writing task 1. This will ensure a concise letter and will be realistic in terms of time management. You have only 20 minutes to write the letter and you need around 5 minutes of planning time, so you will not be able to write a long letter in 15 minutes.
