From an overall
perspective, it is evident that the consumption of chicken
experienced an upward trend, whereas
a reverse pattern could be seen in the figure for the three other categories
In 1979, the quantity of beef ingested was largest, at around 220 grams
. Chicken
and lamb were consumed at lower rates, with around 150 grams
per week per person. The amount of fish consumed, however
, accounted for the lowest number, at about 60 grams
.
In the following years, there was a slight decrease in the data on fish, at about 50 grams
in 2004. The quantity of chicken
ingested rose significantly to around 250 grams
per week while
the figure for lamb consumed dropped to a little higher than 50 grams
weekly. After reaching a peak of around 240 grams
in 1984, beef consumption gradually fell to somewhere the
