The given pie charts illustrate the percentage of expenditure on four different categories in China in two periods years 1995 and 2001.
Overall
, it can clearly be seen that the two biggest spending were food and clothing which contributed more than three-fourths in both times. Medicine and Household goods became the lowest money to be spent.
In terms of two majority expenditures, Food and Clothing stood at 68% and 19% in 1995, respectively. Although
the number for food experienced a deep fall by 9% in 2011, it was still the biggest category of the bill. Moreover
, the spending on clothing decreased slightly to 18% after 16 years.
Regarding the other category with a lower percentage, household goods accounted for 9% in the first period before it experienced a slight growth to 12% in 2011.
