Looking from an overall
perspective, it is readily apparent that 2008 experienced the highest numbers for local hunting and total data, while
the trend for imports reached its peak in 2012.
Moving to a more detailed analysis, for the first 4 years, local fish
catches showed a gradual increase, whereas
the figures for imports halved between 2004 and 2005 and it made the total statistics witness a steady rise for half of the surveyed timeframe. After nearly tripling from 2600 to 8100, the proportions for local fish
hunting continued with some fluctuations between 7800 and 4200 till the end of the mentioned period.
In terms of the remaining years for imports and total weight, the amount of fresh fish
which was bought by the two countries vacillated around 300 and approximately 1200, compared to the overall
