The line graphs show percentage of the people aged 65 and over from 1940 to 2040 in the USA, Sweden and Japan.
In general, an upward trend was seen in all three countries. In the USA, it had nearly 10% of the aged population in 1940 and ascend slowly until 1980. Afterward, the proportion remained stable until 2020
then
it is predicted to surge from 2030 to 2040, and will reach approximately 22% in the end. In Sweden, it had around 7% of elderly people in 1940 and it went up moderately until 1990. The graph showed a dip twice in 1990 and in 2010. It is expected to rise by 25% in 2040. Last
but not least, Japan had 5% of the aged population in 1940 and the graph remained nearly flat from 1960 to 1980. However
, the graph will be skyrocketed in 2030 and will surpass the other two countries in 2040.
