In 2001, the figure for inner London held the lion's share, accounting for 43494, hitting the highest point in the first year , which was in the region of 10000 higher than that of Outer London. After that, the former rose by 144% to 106219, whilst the latter saw an increase of 45% to 49070 in the final year. In terms of the remaining regions, Bristol, the city of recorded the greatest growth, which grew from 8108 in 2001 to 15768 in 2011, with a rise of 94%. During the same period, the statistics of the rest eight regions registered rose, but none reached the 10.000 mark by the end of the shown span.
