The depicted graph provides a comparison of the number of shops that opened and closed in an unidentified country between 2011 and 2018. A broad view of the figures
shows that the statistics have experienced lots of fluctuation over the years.
Looking into detail, it is worth mentioning that the data for opened stores starts at a peak of 8000 in 2011 and is followed by a 50% fall to 4000 in 2012. The numbers
then
went through some ups and downs and hit a three-year-long plateau at 4000 in 2015 which ended in a slight fall to 3000 in 2018.
In contrast
to the shop openings, closures hovered around 6000 in the first four years of the graph and then
plummeted to a nadir of below 1000 in 2015. The fall, however
, was soon recovered by a sharp increase to 5000 in 2016 , at which, the rate of closed stores stayed stable for three years.Submitted by TUTOO on
