, regarding consumption , it can be seen that Europe had shown the highest data among the other places,

the lowest intake was experienced by Africa. In terms of production, the major potato producers were Europe and Asia. In 2006, only 14,1

per person of potatoes were eaten in Africa, followed by South and Central

and Asia which accounted for 23,6kg and 25,8

respectively.

reached 37,9kg followed by Europe which reported the most relevant value of 96,1kg. Regarding the producers, South and Central
