the production was accounted in million tonnes.
Overall
, Europeans consumed more potatoes
than other components of the world. Additionally
, Asia produced more potatoes
than any continent regarded in the tables.
Looking at the first potato consumption, Africa seemed to consume the least compared to the remaining parts of the world. With respect to Europe and North America
, they consumed an amount of 96.1 and 57.9, respectively. In terms of South and Central America
and Asia, the consumption was recorded at 23.6 and 25.9 in that order whereas
in Africa only consumed 14.1.
Turning to potato production, South and Central America
has the potatoes
produced than any continent. Regarding South and Central America
and Africa, the production only accounted for 15.6 and 16.4 in that order while
North America
produced 24.7. However
