The given bar chart depicts the rate of people who owned and rented
accommodation
in the UK and Wales from 1918 to 2011.
Overall
, there was an increasing trend in owners of households throughout the period in comparison with a reduction movement in people who rented accommodation
. But of course, there was an equality in value in 1971.
First of all, from 1918, the number of households owning accommodation
started from around 23% and increased noticeably to about 32% in 1939 and it stayed constant until 1953. This
trend continued to grow in 2001 which peaked at just under 70%. But there was a reduction between 2001 and 2011 to nearly 65%.
On the other hand
, the bar chart of households renting accommodation
began with the highest rate at around 78%, then
it decreased to around 68% in 1939 and kept its movement steadily until 1953. After
this
year, this
process gradually fell until 2001 with around 31%. It can be seen that there was a growth between 2001 and 2011 which reached about 37%.Submitted by brightstargalaxy on
