The given graph illustrates how much money was spent on books in different countries, namely Germany, Italy, France, and Austria from 1995 to 2005.
Overall
, it is evident that all countries experienced an upward trend in the amount of money spent on books even though there was a slight fluctuation over the years shown. As you can see, Germany was the leading spender with the highest amount of 80 million in 1995.
This
number continued to climb to 90 in 1999 but
then
suddenly dropped to 80 in 2003 and rose again to 95 in the final year. Austria spent the least money in the first year;
however
, it experienced a dramatic rise from 30 to about 60
at the end
of the period. Even though France and Italy had a high expenditure on books of roughly 50 and 55 at the beginning of the period, there was not any significant growth during 10 years, only a small increase of around 10 million.
