The provided bar chart gives information about the number of specific university subjects chosen by female and male students namely

, mathematics, social,arts, humanities, literature and law in 2005.
Overall
, it can be seen that the most selected courses by women were social sciences, languages and art. Meanwhile, the greatest number of men had chosen
science
and mathematics. Humanities were identity for both genders.
To begin
with,
science
was the high ranking choice for boys at around 27000 pupils,
while
girls were above 9000 students. Followed by mathematics and literature which were approximately 18000 and 16000 students respectively.
However
, languages and arts achieved the lowest attendance rate for boys which were about 3000 and 4000 respectively. In terms of girl gender, social

witnessed the greatest number of girls almost 24000.
