The chart below gives information about the growth of urban population in certain parts of the world including the prediction of the future. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.
The bar chart compares the data concerning the increasing urban populace in specific areas of the world including
Africa
, Asia and Latin America in the period of 80 years from 1950 to 2030.
Overall
, between 1950 and future 2030, the urban humans in the graph demonstrate up-trends in the whole world,
Africa
, Asia and Latin America. It is remarkable that in 1950 the figure for the urban masses of the whole world was at 30%;
whereas
in 2030, the rate is predicted to be 60%, which is double that of the 1950's. The growth of Latin America's urban population ranked first across all three areas depicted in the diagram with close to 42% in 1950, compared to 70% in 2000 and 80% in 2030. It is noticeable that in 1950, the ratios of the increase of urban humans in African countries and Asian countries were the lowest at only around 10%; in 2000, they both climbed four times higher than 50 years ago, to similar percentages at 40%.
Then
the rate of the urban population in
Africa
will be estimated at 50% in 2030
while
the proportion of Asia at 55%, a bit higher than
Africa
's.
