The graph illustrates the information about energy
consumption
in the USA since 1980 and its prediction to 2030 based on the 2008 report.
Overall
, it can be seen that Petrol and Oil, Coal, and Natural Gas have a higher energy
consumption
rather than Nuclear, Solar/Wind, and Hydropower. Petrol and Oil fell in 1985, but
then
they dramatically increased in 2008, and predicted they will reach their peak in 2030. Coal,
on the contrary
, started growing in 1985 and
then
continued until 2008, and it is predicted to rise until 2030. Natural gas has had ups and downs, and it was volatile in energy
consumption
from 1980 to 2008. It is predicted to rise until 2015, yet it will stagnate until 2030. The
consumption
of Nuclear and Solar/Wind increased from 1980 to 2008, and it is predicted will stagnate from 2010 to 2025 but
then
increase in 2030. Hydropower started with the same amount of nuclear and solar/wind and increased in 1986 but slowly decreased until 2008. It is predicted that less will be consumed in 2011, and the amount of
consumption
will stay until 2030.
