There have been some problems with public transport in your area recently. Write a letter to the manager of the transport company. In your letter: Describe the problems Explain how these problems are affecting the public Suggest some changes that could be made Write at least 150 words. You do NOT need to write any addresses. Begin your letter as follows: Dear Sir or Madam,

Dear Sir, My name is Alicia Liberty, living near to Winston Churchill and Erin Centre Boulevard intersection. I am writing
this
letter with regard to state few of the problems public is facing nowadays regarding the transport facility. The
bus
109 Express is the busiest
bus
and owing to the busy route, its
frequency
was after every 10 minutes, but from the time, a new highway construction was started from Winston Churchill to Plantation Place, the service of 109 Express has been interrupted very badly. Now, its
frequency
is 30 minutes. In case, a person misses the
bus
,
then
one has to wait for an upcoming
bus
for the next 30 minutes.
Also
, more gap in
frequency
leads to more rush in buses especially during peak hours,
therefore
, it's not possible for all the people to board the
bus
, and they have to wait for the following
bus
. People are getting annoyed as they either arrive late for their work or school, or to ensure to arrive on time, they have to leave their house early to embark on the
bus
, so
this
thing has disturbed everyone's routine schedule. I would like to mention a suggestion to overcome
this
issue by increasing the number of 109 buses so that people will enjoy its 10-minute
frequency
service as before.
Although
this
solution might be expensive for the company, it will give relief to the commuters. I hope you will consider my request at the earliest so that we will see some positive changes in the
bus
service soon. Yours Faithfully, Alicia Liberty.

Word Count

IELTS says that you should write a minimum of 150 words in writing task 1. If you go under word count you will lose marks in task response.

A very long letter will not give you a higher band score.

Aim for between 160 to 190 words in writing task 1. This will ensure a concise letter and will be realistic in terms of time management. You have only 20 minutes to write the letter and you need around 5 minutes of planning time, so you will not be able to write a long letter in 15 minutes.
